For posterity, I added the title screens for v1.01-1 and v1.01-2 of the ZERO patch, and added a small note to the bottom of the page. I also did a minor colour correction for the palettes

The "Earth Bound Zero" title should definitely remain here, it has historical importance for the game's history. The patch that disabled copyprotection, which is what added Zero to the logo so you knew it worked, was the ONLY way to play the game for a lot of people for the longest time. It was only when emulators started getting better that the original unaltered ROM could be used.

Wasn't "zero" shaded in blue?

Anyone curious about the names, EarthBound Beginnings is the current name that Nintendo uses for the game to prevent confusion with the SNES sequel also called EarthBound. They could have changed the title however they didn't touch the game from its final state to my knowledge. While Nintendo have done this (the first Fire Emblem, one of the versions of Donkey Kong to add the pie factory), it is rare for them to do any modifications outside of screen flashes (even then that is probably an emulator thing) or copyright issues.

Originally it was just going to be called Earth Bound but the NES game was unreleased due to unable to market the game, it wasn't the only NES game that they cancelled with Sim City being the other (the SNES games were released). Someone found the prototype and hacked in Zero into its title, until Nintendo's official release on the Wii U this is what the people called the game for a long time. Also the reason for the hack was that the emulators at the time couldn't run the game properly. That's why there's a rip of that version, the second revision of the hack with the blue and white text fixing the copy protection does seem to be missing. Usually title screen hacks don't get ripped (imagine all the cracktros in home computer rips, we'll be here all day...).

... Earth Bound Beginnings doesn't have a "title". The Wii U release is the same as the prototype.

Does Earthbound Zero get a title screen change? I think you might have to include that just in case... as I'm not sure.

@Ashley: It's still what people called it for the longest time, until Nintendo gave it the official rebranding.

Why didn't update the icon? The icon that i made was the same but with the colors of the Sprite Sheet...

Edit: Thanks!
