I wonder how much they would've changed if this came out in the west?

It's loosely based on a Japanese TV show called 'Space Sheriff Sharivan'. I always describe it as "If Metroid and Zelda 2 had a baby"
It's pretty good, and there's an English rom

Ocean published the Spectrum/Amstrad/C64 versions of the arcade game of the same name and didn't change much. Even the cover isn't completely Westernized unlike body building Athena or the comic book take of Green Beret from the same artist. They were lousy though. If they got this game, then the only thing really would be the misspelling of the game, they called it GALVAN as they didn't know the sword was an i. Probably had Ocean published NES games earlier (they started in 1991) and the game came out earlier, we might have got it.
Saying that the C64 version did get a very limited US release as Hero 2020 in 1990, it is unknown who published that as Ocean already discontinued the Imagine name and no cover/instructions have surfaced to know any changes. It might be a prototype.
