@Random This is a shaky in-between area released shortly after Adventure, but based mostly off the 16-bit Sonic 2. The answer to your question, therefore, is "yes."

is this sonic classic or modern

Along with the rest of the things that need reripping, @Mystical Greninja

I was just finding an excuse to use a sprite from an obscure Sonic game.

are we ever gonna get the rips for the stages?

At least it's an excuse to pass Tails the popcorn.

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just preparing for the drama that's about to happen.

@KBY30 Hey leave my panties out of this. I just don't like it when the NGPC (which has games for it containing one of my favorite graphic styles) is misrepresented. This site unfortunately lacks a lot of examples of that style, but Sprite Database has a lot.

You don't need to get your panties in a twist, Doc.

I like the sprite style

@Flash That was a typo brought about by the fact that this is a 16-bit system. I changed it to the correct form. Either way, that was just the last word, and for the rest I was being perfectly clear that I meant the NES.

@Doc von Schmeltwick God, you don't need to get in my face about the NES Sonic Bootlegs. I totally forgot they existed when I posted that. Also, I said NES, not SNES.

@Flash
First of all, there are plenty of Sonic Bootlegs on the NES. Second of all, this is actually a 16-bit system. Third of all, NES had tricolor for graphics, with a few exceptions like SMB3 Koopa Troopa being built from 8x8 tiles with different palettes. Admittedly, most sprites from the fighting games for this system (which are posted on Sprite Database but not here, unfortunately) are indeed tricolor, but most of these aren't. Anyways, this plain and simply could not work on the NES.

I can image this is how sonic would look on an NES game.
