yeah, quite a few sprites were tweaked, shading-wise specifically.
Interestingly, the water tiles in GHZ have very similar artifacting as with Sonic 1 J2ME.
Also looks like some tiles were improved from the MD version. Like the weird structure with the 'Mario face' has more depth, but without using more colors. Could be useful for say, a Sonic 1 ROM hack that remasters the art.
Overall, nice to see this, J2ME Sonic content's always been a fascination of mine. It has such a weird history.
