I find it most interesting how Sonic himself is smaller than his Master System/Game Gear counterparts.

When I get the chance I'll rerip the whole game. There are other resolutions that aren't included here. This seems to be based on the 128x160 resolution, but there's also a 240x320 version which uses 1:1 graphics compared to the Mega Drive version (for the most part) so stay tuned for that.

@NARbluebird_YT It was due to phone limitations back then where unlike now where it is just iPhone and Android, there were like 100s of different phones all that had their differences. Many couldn't cope of having the full game so it was split into two and even then many also had different sizes in terms of the art with some being smaller.

@Rep Well good thing Sonic 1 has been ported to 50 bazillion other consoles you could check :T
Who hipped this game could've at least assembled the backgrounds
