=wow tails is there= he dies at the end of the game
-wow its the Sonic 1 sprites-
Surely when they were creating the images, the developers did want tails within the Game but they backtracked later and forgot to change the images
By the way, it's clear they used the S1 sprites for the pictures since there's no stripe on Sonic's shoe in Sky High's picture.
@Murphmario I don't know, maybe the developers choose "Tails" to appear in title cards.
Still wonder why Tails is in the title cards when he's not even in most of the levels shown.
