You could try to replicate the sprites.
You could try to replicate the sprites.

@Super_Luigi My comment may give you hope.

@SuperPupperDoggo My advice is to use nearby enemies to compare colors.

@oxygen getting the actual color palette is quite hard.

i like how they remade the bobomb and shy guy sprites from the ground up instead of just using the mario maker and smb2 sprites respectively

i could try maunally recreating some sprites if yall want

It's taking a bit of time, then?

The larger images use a more standard(easy to rip) format that supports more detail and is easier to compress. It can also be done by halting the CPU and dumping the frame buffer of the device since the firmware just displays the decompressed image directly. It's getting the exported smaller sprites to have correct colors that is the problem.

How were the other things ripped, then?

front facing Marios and such are hard (at least until we figure out how to rip graphics directly). It does that thing where if you zoom up close the sprite is actually blurry while in the clock mode, so can't hard rip them either.

Hmm, what about the front facing Mario's?

I have spotted some missing sprites. I myself am unable to rip them. The Bob-omb, Shy Guy, Yoshis, and Monty Mole (As the former have unique palletes, while the latter is fully 8-bit)
The thwomps, oddly enough, use their SMM2 SMB3 sprites, but with the actual smb3 thwomp pallete; blue.
The boos in particular use slightly recolored SMBDX boo sprites (I know they're SMW sprites, but give me a break).
The rest of the cameos use sprites already present on this site.
