This sheet is in desperate need of an overhaul; having a purple background with purple sprites really was a poor decision. It should also be noted on the sheet that the other Emerald sprites are unused, seeing as they don't appear in game

Eggman tried to zap Sonic with a laser while he was sleeping but hit a Chaos Emerald instead (implicitly it was thrown by Knuckles to block the shot) and it split into five and scattered.
In the English manual there's effectively no story beyond "Robotnik's up to no good," so...

But it does look like there's 7 emeralds here because of the fact that there's 7 palettes. I know that there's only 5 you need to collect, but i'm pretty certain Eggman would have the other 2.

There's only five in this game, and according to the JP manual, they're actually one Chaos Emerald that got split into five.

While the Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, and White Chaos Emeralds are in Sonic Blast, the first four I mentioned have different color schemes. Also, the Cyan and Purple Chaos Emeralds aren't in said game. Did you make these yourself, or did you rip them from the game?
