@Danny Jarquin: big brian moment

if you think about it this was techincally the first Sonic game to use the unused gray death sprite lol

CONGRATULATIONS

They kinda look like the Sonic Triple Trouble laugh sprites.

the laughing sprites are different to the ones in S3&K

Pushing sprite looks more like Sonic's
In fact a lot of these look different from Sonic & Knuckles' sprites

his 2nd skidding sprite is actually in the style of the sonic 3 nov 3 1993 prototype's knuckles sprite

It's his "chuckle."

@Ton: I don't see a grin...

Isn't that his laugh?

Those "End of Level" sprites look custom, since I don't recall ever seeing him do a sigh of relief with his arms folded.

I'll see what I can do. Thankfully, the graphics data is organized to where I can get through them in TiledGGD. They're basically bunched up in huge, random 256x256 jumbles of sprites. Still takes a while to sort through them, though...
EDIT: On second thought, I think I'm going to take a break from the Game.com. My eyes have been hurting since I started working with it. Not kidding.
Keep in mind, I started looking into it two days ago.

Oh man it's this thing.
While you're tormenting yourself like this, could you please rip weapons and enemies from this system's version of Duke Nukem 3D?
