Another update: I found where those sprites are used, so I'll be uploading an updated version for all of the Mario Golf sprites - as well as Mobile Golf - very soon!
I probably tile-ripped these without looking at how they're asembled in-game, so either they're unused frames or I assembled them incorrectly. TheWispGuy's done a far more comprehensive job, so I'm happy seeing this get removed in favour of their rips.
Update: I tried hitting the ball softly, hitting close to a tree, getting the ball wedged deep into the sand and hitting it, but I can't seem to find those poses. My best guess is that they are unused frames. (My other guess is that Ragey custom-made them, but I don't think Ragey would do that)
Also, yeah. The darker shadow is for 1W/3W/4W, and the lighter one is for the rest of the clubs.

Oh. It seems my sprite sheets are am missing a frame here for all the characters. I might have to go back and get them.

Looking between this sheet and their own sheets, there seems to be an extra pose for the characters here. The shadow of the golf club is also different between the two rips.

For those who don't know, the man in purple is "Foreman Spike" who was the main bad guy in Wrecking Crew. I can see why someone could confuse him for Waluigi though.
Wario looks a little.....murderous in his icons there.
There's also the Story Mode characters; this one covers just the Mario Characters.
