The people behind Dimps (The Advance trilogy developers) are former SNK staff, which explains the similarities to Metal Slug's sprites
Actually, that tank is the Egg Bomber Tank. He had it in Sonic Advance 2(although it had much higher-quality sprites there).
They slapped Robotnik on a tank straight from Metal Slug.
