This is so much better! Now it's easier to use for fangames.

omg, thank you so much @SamButSam and @GlacialSiren484 for redoing the sheet, this looks x1,000,000 neater now

This is so much cleaner than the old one. Thank you.

omg thank you for reripping and reorganizing this, the other sheet was such a nightmare to use, not knowing what was used or not and for what

@Glacial I more meant an extra two sections underneath to show Mario and Luigi wearing it, since the bounds are already there in the separate section. XD
The separated section should definitely be kept, though.

@QuadFactor Just checked and you're right, will get that fixed in the update that I submitted.

Isn't the "unused" small Luigi jump sprite used when he grabs a wand?

@Don von Schmeltwick I think it's possible to squeeze it in with the raccoon tails, I'll see what we could do.

Nice update! Kinda a shame there's no alternate assembly section for the cape, though.

We revised this sheet!

i'm remaking sma4 in scratch (yes, the kids coding program) and these are really helpful!

@DragonBreath For Mario, they're in the first row beside his walking sprites. For Luigi, they're in the second row beside his back-facing item carry sprite.

Where are the fire flower sprites?

@sawibis Yeah, that's one of the things that bothered me about this sheet (sans the obvious disorganization).
If I knew how to rip GBA graphics (w/o screenshot-editing) I may update this to be more accurate (if it hasn't already) and organized.

The pixels on little Mario's hands on the bottom left are a little displaced, but you can just refer to Luigi to see how it's supposed to be.
edit: Is the sprite with Mario/Luigi with both hands lowered unused? It's placed in the same group as pulling out a turnip (4th from the left), but he doesn't actually seem to use that sprite when pulling out a turnip.

@ResourcinGames235 It's an old sheet.
A lot of early sprite rips were either designed for sprite comics or were captured from an emulator by removing the layers. The idea of putting them in boxes and listing them by their animation was a rarity (mainly fighting games/beat em ups but some rippers did put in the effort even in the early days). Probably also the ripper might have merged the various Mario & Luigi sheets together or each section was ripped at different times. It seems the Frog Suit and Cape do match in terms of animation order.

why is this so unorganized with the sprite order?

@MarioYT21 Probably because it would be really hard to see on a low-resolution Game Boy Advance screen. The Frog Suit and (technically) Hammer Suit also share Mario's somersault graphics.

How come they never changed the jumping sprite for Luigi when you're using the star. Sure the the frog suit and hammer suit are correct, but the normal, tanooki, and raccoon sprites Luigi are incorrect, probably it's how it looks in-game.

The victory pose sprites for Mario and Luigi are unused in the game, the sprites for both of them when they get jumped on and the different victory pose from Battle Mode is maybe probably unused?
