It's actually insane to me just how gorgeous these sprites are. Like putting them side-by-side with the original NES sprites, they're really not that much bigger than those (least from what I compared). Whoever was responsible for making these (or just the spritework for ZM in general) really went above and beyond.

Mind explaining the internal format used to put together Samus' animations? It's the one thing that isn't properly documented yet, and would be incredibly useful for assembling the other suits. It's also how the arm cannon switches between beam and missile weapons; the cannon piece used gets swapped out. And since this sheet doesn't have pre-built missile weapon sprites, knowing how to reconstruct the sprites would be massively useful.

Miles07: It's called the Varia Suit.

Wow, THIS is nice! Will we be expecting a similarly-styled sheet for the Mark 2 suit?

These are the types of sheets the Metroid games need. Not all disassembled or assembled together, but a mix of both. (I mean seriously, any time you wanted to use almost any Metroid Fusion sprite, you have to go through fucking hell to assemble it because not only were the sprites actually parts, but none of the parts were labeled.)
This is a very good rip, and I really like how you even added the assembled sprites as well. Please keep up the good work.
