Wow it really looked like a 3D model for me...

What tool? When I use VBA, I need the tiles to be on-screen before I can rip them. Something like this would probably be immensely helpful, especially in the frame-heavy games where most NPC sprites end up being unused due to strict behaviors (like the Dumbledore sheet for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).

@Doc von Schmeltwick: It was a little bit of an exaggeration, but it really was one of my quickest sprite rips. The sprites were very cleanly laid out in the ROM, I just needed to apply the palette and they were good to go afterward.

How did you rip this in "about a minute?"

Wow I remembered the Mario ball from McDonald's

o_o

This technique of using sprites instead of 3D models already existed, but in this game they took it to the maximum, I don't want to imagine what the developers had to do

When I first played the game, I thought this was a 3D model! It's so intricate.

@CRTR Your point?

There is no way that someone is going to put this in a sprite animation.

Ooooohhhh, trippy!

Wow, this makes for a cool optical illusion.
