I'll admit I'm a little confused on why I need PERMISSION to use an Aria of Sorrow enemy...

Some rippers were protective especially back then. Usually though it was just credit the ripper at most so maybe he thought that someone would steal his rip somehow or used it on the sly without telling him? Also many early rips were more geared towards sprite comics. In all honesty it is a bit silly considering that it was someone at Konami who made the sprite in the first place...
