@Gregory In the Japanese version of this game, Kylie Koopa also calls him a woman. Many Japanese fansites assume this iteration of Magikoopa ("Magikoopa" and "Kamek" are interchangeable, especially in Japanese where "Kamek" refers to both) is a woman because of that.
It was the first time I met Kamek, and I swear I thought he was a woman because of the apron.
