It's been four years since you posted that, so you're probably aware at this point, but in case you're not, IGA was and still is a diehard JoJo fan, and this is just one of many JoJo references to be found in Castlevania games from Symphony of the Night to Order of Ecclesia. There is a Stone Mask in almost every game since SotN, holding Up on the D-pad usually results in a JoJo pose, and if you equip Juste with the Fist subweapon, he'll shout 'ORAORAORAORA!' And of course, it's not a coincidence that when Zephyr laughs, one could be forgiven for thinking he might be shouting 'WREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!' if the volume is off.

Of course, after OoE, IGA was fired and excommunicated from the company for disagreeing with the executive decision to shamefully inter his masterpieces to spend eternity as nothing but pachinko machines. To this day, they refuse to sell him the rights to Castlevania out of spite.
