If I made a sprite sheet based off of an Assist Trophy, would it go under the items category or should a separate Assist Trophy category be made?

Probably gonna try to make Isabelle sometime in the future.

Giga Bowser is complicated. I might make him though.

It was just one sprite (sort of a pixel art like sheet?) but now its gone and I am now confused on what happened to it

@said It wasn't a sheet, it was a still image. A single sprite.

I swear I remember seeing a Giga Bowser sheet on here, what happened to it?

@Sanic Why do that, when Kirby and the amazing Mirror already has decent sprites for him? There's one at the bottom, anyways, though it's an SMM thing.

where the heck is all the master/crazy hand stuff? like almost no customs for a staple villain? somewhat surprising

i feel like i should clarify, i'm not mad at you guys or anything. you're a cool team. i'm just saying that maybe there are better ways to go about this? you know?

i'm not saying they look crappy, i'm saying that they didn't take as much effort as something from the newest ssf2 build would. pretty much every single character is made from custom sprites and has a ton of frames in each animation. the original ssf is from years ago and my point is holding a grudge or opinion over something as stupid and minor as their sprites they used forever ago and have since changed multiple times is dumb. very dumb. it's a little unreasonable they don't want their sprites on here but it's their sprites and ultimately their choice. i understand techniques and technology and all that, but once again - i never once said they were bad. i said they were "what looks like literally edited megaman sprites" which, iirc, is what they are. you're taking what i'm saying and making it sound a lot worse. i understand your point but i want you to understand mine too instead of what you're doing

@TGS Actually, many, many sprites in SSF2 are actually edited from pre-existing sprites to various degrees, like Kirby's were last I checked. Granted, I haven't looked into that game for probably 6 years, but either way, you're being ridiculously rude, and not taking into account whatsoever advances in technology and technique in regards to spriting between then and now. What may look crappy by today's standards may have taken a crapload of work back then.

i understand where you're coming from but there's a huge diff in what looks like literally edited megaman sprites compared to custom or reworked ssb sprites with a shitton of frames in almost each animation made by like 3 dudes. it's fuckin stupid to compare the two when they're completely different things

old discussion but are you guys *really* gonna hold a grudge on a game that had to have been made almost a decade ago using sprites openly released on this site compared to completely custom sprites made by a team that has every reason not to want them posted online
i don't wanna start nothing but that comes off super petty
i don't wanna start nothing but that comes off super petty

will nintendo copyright me if i use these characters?

What that would really mean is they didn't bother to look at the credits, which while not something one needs to do for most games, is pretty reasonable an expectation for fan games just to see where the assets came from.

Eh, it doesn't bug me unless people think these are rips from SSF instead of the other way around.

Well to be perfectly fair, the sprites put on here are, unless specifically stated otherwise, generally seen as being open for use. Still though, that is pretty double standardish.

And on top of that the devs of Flash 2 don't want us hosting their sprites here anyway despite using ours in the first place. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Correct. They'd be a section for those games. The only reason the Super Smash Flash "rips" are on here are because they took those sprites from TSR in the first place.

@Salvador43 He's saying that they wouldn't be in this section.
