This makes me think Espio n Charmy were in some like investigation thingy where they were requested by the client so only Espio and Charmy resolve it, and while Vector waited for 'em he got dragged into the events of TSR, and when they came back, they were bummed they couldn't get to race n stuff, so to make it up for them, Vector got his car expanded to have backseats for the two, 'cause he's just a really sweet dude.
Also noted that Vector has been scaled down here. This would prove useful since his classic counterpart did get a revision since they are up to scale and can be expanded upon.

@TwistedGear The version in Team Sonic Racing is only a one-seater race car, whereas the IDW version has backseats for Espio and Charmy. (Not only that, the Team Sonic Racing version is smaller as well)
does this really count as IDW when it's a Team Sonic Racing vehicle?
