Why the hell did they just amputate Sonic's arms for the sprites?
this looks alot like the sprites that were used in the prototype when the game was called sonic crackers
really love the special stage sprites
The style of these sprites really reminds me of the pre-rendered Sonic Xtreme sprites. I'm not sure why.

Sonic 3 & Kuckles, CD, Chaotix, and Mania are the best looking Sonic games imo
Chaotix had the best graphic style of the classic games, IMO.
its suprising how much Mania is inspired by Chaotix more than any other game. Theres the weird shines, the gradient-orientaded pallete, the rings flying off the screen when you get hit with too many, and many more.
Woah ok these are completely custom! There's a hack called "Sonic in Chaotix" but these sprites are different from the ones used there (the hack uses the ones from Sonic Crackers and Sonic CD)!
I like the design of sonic. its just like sonic crakers sprites but remasterized.
Sprite edits from both chaotix and Crackers.
So, are the in-game sprites edits of the Sonic Crackers sprites, or completely custom?
