as a sidenote, mighty, ray, tails & knuckles' sheets also got updated (although in their cases the only differences are angled motion sprites, better spíndash and expanded 1-up sprite :p)
@ZCREATES the most notable difference is the big ending sprite, but in general the sprites were tweaked to reflect the look of the new stationary sprite. if you wanna compare, the old version is up on my deviantart

@Davidee Fan characters aren't allowed, and while that's technically a glitch from a game, the name is still fan-based. Though given that's just Sonic with a green-and-black (and sometimes orange) palette misapplied, it's pretty easy to make from a Sonic sheet.

Here's an interesting ask: any chance you wanna try making S1 stylizations of the Hard-Boiled Heavies? I honestly think I barely saw any customs of them as it is, though I might need to check.
