holy SHIT we started a war over clouds

also responding to the old 2022 comments over the louplayer and ttsfan clouds, ttsfan actually just made original clouds! by the time it was made it wasn't probably original but ehh ive seen his clouds

it tastes like chunky peanut butter

wtf are all of these chunky messages

@DouglasTheGreatResource Okay how I did not see this. (prob I've been busy almost a full year.)
First of all, I wasn't bullying and neither does @SpritZ. We're just like pointing out some sort of question about that cloud sprite. We're was just trying to like make sure if this sprite sheet is correctly. I know, maybe we've fussed a little because most of her responses didn't make sense until the last comment she made. But for the sake off I've tried to be positive as possible and yet somehow it's confusing when that cloud thing and right now Raposa just give her final answer which made sense and we stopped. I don't know why exactly you're pointing us out about "not liking others using your sprites then don't submit here", isn't credits are here for if anyone would like to use your sprites? I mean I've put "give credit if used" on my sheets. What else would I NOT submit? It's part of the rules about credits.
I get it it's praising art and knowingly we should respect as well. But there's some things that we're questioned about. Obviously in this instance it's the cloud, I mean don't get me wrong I know my accuracy and knowledge of art but sometimes we look back at other sheets and how were they made and this is one of the things that caught our eye.
I'm not looking for trouble, and your way of pointing (or accusing) us to be bullies was just wrong when we've never harassed her. We just simply asked about the cloud sprite and we want to know her answer (which she finally did in her last comment). We didn't harm her and we're careful.
Please don't accuse someone when no one has been harassed or anything. And don't push it even further than it is, it's over and done with and you don't need to accuse us for being bullies while we're not. Hopefully you understand and be careful how you look and read at things.
Forgive me if I came at rough but that last part of the comment you wrote just caught me off-guard as like we're the bad guys in this situation and that's totally uncharacteristic of us.
I don't know if @SpritZ have the same feeling as me but we don't deserve this kind of treatment from you from the slightest. And hopefully you learn what we're trying to explain and do. Thank you if you understand and we'll not go further to this discussion.
EDIT: I just found out that the guy who made that comment was banned on this site and this comment was there un-deleted. Whoops. Well atleast somehow I've give my response to what he said and why he shouldn't treat anyone like garbage when no one did anything wrong. taking it as a learning experience when commenting. (I'm not sure if this comment should stay up but if an admin would try to delete it then it's fine. sorry if there's any trouble and hopefully everyone understands.)

@SpritZ Either Raposa did not see any mention of giving credit on your sheet or you forgot to say it on your sheet, its nobody's fault really. Only YOU should be more responsible to add your notes on your sheet for asking credit if thats a really big deal to you. If someone fail to do so or simply forgot to ask you permission then thats only your problem.
Besides, Raposa didn't mean any trouble, she only wants to contribute her art to the site and even if she might not be a professional, seeing that she rely on using sprites from others as a resource with some minor editing just to be a little creative at least for trying her own take on recreating something that nobody else would ever bother making since the only custom stage from that prototype was always Green Hill and I think its finally about time we see other prototype stages getting submitted here because I am already tired seeing too much prototype Green Hill being submitted here lately to be honest lmao.
As I am someone who doesn't require permission from others to use my work and just being a generous fellow for sharing nice things, it just doesn't make sense to me and the way you foolishly dragged someone through that long and embarrassing conversation is ridiculous! This makes me wonder how you treat others on this site for using your work with permission or without it?
@RaposaWorks I just want to say good job with putting everything together to make up that background! You deserve a positive feedback here! The background art is not perfect but it really shows off a great guess as to what could have been. Even if its just a silly looking mockup, it still looks great to say the least!
@TarkanDragon @SpritZ By the way, the comment section is for praising art and pointing out mistakes! not a battlefield for bullying others. Art is just art, no need to make a big fuss about it. If you don't like others using your sprites then don't submit here. Both of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

@RaposaWorks I see. I'll take your word for it.

@RaposaWorks Okay. I guess this makes sense. Thank you for the clarification and take a good rest.
Sorry for how this convo went. And take care.

i had that cloud sprite for a while ago, i just never used it in the initial sheet cause i did not like how it looked, hence why i replaced it in the first place with the sprite that i thought did not need any credits.

im tired of replying, this is my last comment here,
the cloud sprite was made within a larger sheet full of tiles from different games and different styles, hence the big filesize, also the cloud tiles being similar is because they are also using the left over tiles from the final game as a basis, hence the similarities.

@RaposaWorks I know this is the most confusing conversation ever being said. I mean stealing is a rule on this site but you somehow got enough evidence that you have made it back in the 2020.
I mean honestly you did really great work! But somehow there are things that might have just get confusing. I was at one point thinking maybe you have a discord account or something. but honestly try to make sense with the comments and yeah... and the one that you sent was 185 kbs... was there something else that you have done?
Look I don't want to put out a risk onto you but you might need to becareful whenever if you try to make a sprite that it's exactly the same as the other one who made a couple of months later.
Just think about. and answer the question correctly and please be careful.

@RaposaWorks I'm still confused. The only image you provided was the date of an unknown file from May 28th, 2020. This could be anything.
I downloaded the sprite sheet and checked the file size of it, which is 10.0 KB (10,256 bytes). I can't imagine this is the file that you mentioned and a single sprite of a cloud would definitely be smaller in size.
IF I'm understanding you correctly, you're now saying that you made the cloud sprite which is in the sprite sheet. But earlier, you said:
"i actually didnt fully glance over the sheet before and ASSUMED it didnt need any credits, im sorry for the inconvenience guys, ill submit an update with my own interpretation of the clouds,"
Which is it?

Huh. I mean somehow I guess that answers my question but wow. you made a sheet back in 2020 on May 28th? And you never met Louplayer before... Woah...
You'd actually made something that later on predicted the obvious sprite that Louplayer did. I mean this is some sort of coincidence right?
If so then congrats and I don't know if you have any other old works you did that you'd never got around sharing... But to be honest that's really impressive to my belief.
I mean you've been absent for a while now come to think of it. Maybe somehow you were working on something big and we might not know about.
I mean this is impressive work you did and wish would be more accurate. But yeah still I'm confused and shocked at the same time.

@RaposaWorks I thought you implied earlier that you took the cloud sprite from someone else? You never posted anything with it until now, aside from your Sonyc (?) version.
@Louplayer's sprite sheet was made around December 29th, 2020 according to one of the comments on it.

this sheet is really making my head spin..... *dizzy emoji goes here*

https://imgur.com/a/TK9KMjl i made the cloud in 2020..... also im a girl, lous name is obviously that of a guy,
we dont even know each other..... smh.
we dont even know each other..... smh.

@SpritZ I don't know I mean I never looked at louplayer's cloud to see if there's a difference.
Although I was at school at the time so obviously I never got to the louplayer's cloud at one point but now I'm back I now took a look even more closely.
When I looked at it somehow they looked the same!

I mean I have this odd theory that just got into my head and I don't know if this was true...
LouPlayer and RaposaWorks are the same person or just happen to share... though not sure about RaposaWorks's nature but somehow I feel like there's a connection. And I never seen Louplayer's TTS sheet for a long while now. Then again if this was the actual cloud that it's actually recreated then it might as well be an actual %100 accurate. Though not sure if @Sonic1TTSFan1990 is simply trying to make an actual true accurate TTS but yeah... there's possibilities.
And yeah this really melted my mind after looking at Louplayer's cloud and the one that was here are same but palette-differenced.

@TarkanDragon The sprite in this sprite sheet looks like it matches the ones in this other one better (https://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/145882/), which was apparently made before the one by @Sonic1TTSFan1990 (the one I linked before) which also has a very similar cloud sprite?
Even if it doesn't look stolen, the sprite could've also been edited slightly to look different. Changing the palette can easily make a sprite look different if the new palette has fewer colors than the original one that was used.
Is @Louplayer the only true creator of the recreated cloud sprite, assuming they're the actual creator of it? (@_@;)

@MarioMadness734
@SpritZ
I took a closer look at the sprites and aparently the sprite itself isn't the same or stolen for that matter... I noticed that there's differences of the sprite on this sheet and the other sprite sheet that is %100 accurate:

The shape is similar but not exactly the same as in like it was stolen. I mean I did take a closer look at the clouds and it's not like just slap the recolor and that's it. The cloud sprite is different (probably the shading) but the shape is in fact similar.
I may be wrong if this WAS stolen and it's edited then yeah...
Also as for the background being inspired by concept art. I don't know if it's trying to simulate the Tokyo toy show style though I don't know if Marble zone had concept art besides that one scanned image of the Marble zone. There's possibilities.

i think an actual tts marble would be based on it's original concept art
