Another scrapped character to potentially return from the grave, OK Boomer. Can't wait to see you in a fangame with Honey and Tiara in a future "Team Goners" project.

Added a bit more of the basic Sonic 2 anims (corkscrew will probably come in a later revision, once I decide to sprite it):

Also @SpritZ, the sheet Dolph was referring to was an older version of this sheet, specifically the one from last year when Craig Stitt's Boomer sketches were first put online.

@ThatDamnCatgirl: According to the sketches, he would fall on his back whenever he took damage and Sonic would have to flip him upright again.
Would his Idle animation involve falling over or is the knocking down a replacement for the death animation or what?
Holy cow, these look amazing! It genuinely feels like I've fallen into an alternative dimension where Boomer was chosen over Tails! Well done!

Funnily enough, the appearance in the comic actually used this sheet as a reference for his colours. According to the artist, it was at least a better palette than green and brown to avoid confusion with the useless and one-dimensional Archie character, Tommy.
Boomer was one of the first pitches for Sonic's sidekick before Tails was chosen. He's still a cool design though. I mean, what's not to love about a rocket turtle and references to the cult Kaiju franchise Gamera? (Gamera had two abilities to fly: UFO and rocket)
