Awesome!
I mean Mania does take more from Sonic 1 so that's kind of inevitable. But this does change the "shine" Mania had and the jump ball's sparkles looks smaller.
there was a sonic mania mod where it just changed the palette to sonic 1's palette

FPS doesn't matter when it comes to sprites, all that matters is frame timing.
