I don't think you're meant to take this seriously.
Murphmario: they don't. In Mega Man Zero we learn Andrew deliberately had himself modified to look like he grew older because he wanted to age with the woman he loved. Andrew's story is a nice ride.
It's doesn't make any sense, it's like the plot of a sprite comic from way back.
The Light and Wily AIs I get since both of them have AIs in the X games as well, but how the heck would Robot Masters age like humans do?
