@DogToon64, Yes, she was scrapped in favor of Hornet Man. She did appear in the Archie comics but was renamed Vesper Woman.
So is this based off of a scrapped Mega Man boss?
@RaguRando I don't know if you already know this, but she was used as a miniboss in Beetle Lady's stage in Mega Man: Rock N Roll.

What a cute design for an official female RM that got rejected. Either I had no idea that's what Hornet Man was planned to be(e), or I'd simply forgotten. Either way, it would've been more fun if they were to keep her instead. Makes me wonder if she's ever been in a fan game or hack before.

For example, Concrete Man was originally green, and was named Cement Man. And Tornado Man was originally named Weather Man, and had a completely different design that gives me slight Clown Man flashbacks.
