KIRBY'S ADVENTURE 64! we just need ribbon :(

Noice!

@Max Ward this conversation has probably covered as much ground as it needs to.

Ado is literally just her japanese name shortened

Okay, let me clarify this whole "Ado vs. Adeleine" issue once and for all:
In an artbook recently released in Japan to commemorate the Kirby franchise's 25th anniversary, there's a page showing scans of documents from the development of Kirby 64, specifically documents regarding the character of Adeline. The document explicitly states that Adeline was the artist in Kirby's Dream Land 3, and that the artists and graphic designers for 64 should refer to her then-new redesign as opposed to how she appeared in Dream Land 3.
So yeah, Ado and Adeleine are canonically the same person.

That's because I only just now submitted it. :P

Weird I hadn't noticed it until now....

It's not really a break, since I made this back in 2016.

Only evidence regarding artwork I can find is "Adeleine's in this group artwork of important characters and Ado isn't," which is kind o a weak reason as the former is a full-game ally and the other a one-time boss. But given the near-identicality between the two, K64's bizarro Waddle Doo, and the similar names (particularly with the Japanese name you just mentioned) they probably are intended to be the same.
So, how's this break from making professional-level models?

There is definitely some confusion regarding this, as I don't think HAL has directly addressed the issue. It is possible that the answer is buried in old Japanese interviews. At the very least, we know that Adeleine's Japanese name is Adorēnu.
Anyway, from what I can gather, recent Kirby anniversary artwork seems to indicate that Ado and Adeleine are indeed the same character. It would certainly make a lot of sense, considering how much of of Kirby Dream Land 3's design carried over to Kirby 64.

@Don von Schmeltwick
Ooh, maybe that's Adeleine's nickname.

Isn't the one from KDL3 named "Ado?" Not sure if they have the same Japanese names (which would make them unambiguously the same character...)
But yes, nice sprites.

Nice work on these, Peardian. The Kirby's Adventure sprites have a unique pizzazz to them.
