I'm ok that Chris Pratt is voicing acting Garfield

At least in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the only voice that was done outright badly was Peach's, since that was "generic kid's action movie - white girl" voice, sounding completely interchangeable with Smurfette and Jailbreak from the friggin' Emoji Movie.
Not to mention with the "all-star casting" trend, it's become even more impossible for actual fans of the media being made to break into projects.

The main problem with Pratt as Garfield as he's just not putting any effort into the voice. It's just his natural one which defeats the purpose of voice acting in general. Not to mention it's a big disrespect to voice actors. Frank Welker was right there as he's the only one who comes close to imitating the late Lorenzo Music, but nope, Chris Pratt was chosen because he's Star Lord and nothing else.

I feel like every time Chris Pratt's voicing a cartoon character I grew up with. First Mario, now Garfield?
Not really criticizing here, it's just kinda funny in my opinion, mostly because Pratt's my mom's top-favorite actor (Or at least one of her favorite actors).

That's the main issue here. Movies rely too much on star power and the Garfield movie is no exception. (Again, MCU is to blame this time)
Robin Williams always feared this would cost voice actors roles and he was right when Disney breached his contract back in 1992 when Aladdin came out.
He would be upset with how worse it's gotten if he were still alive.
