I dunno. Seems like, if anything, we could be a backup archive for public domain stuff.
@Random Talking Bush. I remember one of the contributors for Freedoom submitted his revisions here, but again, no point having public domain sprites hosted here. (Doesn't help with what's final or not for Freedoom as well)
If anything, we could see sprites for anything done the same way as classic first person shooter sprites here.

@RealMargaretThatcher: We already had a discussion regarding those earlier, there's no point in hosting those here considering it's all freely available in the first place, if anyone wants those they can just get it themselves.

pretty sure in the doom II rpg, he was stan blazkowics. and in the novels hes flynn taggart, which was referenced in doom eternal as the doom II password.

well actually his name is William Blazkovitz the third. yes, related to the guy from Wolfenstein(B.J. Blazkovitz), and commander keen (William Joseph Blazkowicz II)
Since the new game is out now, they have officially given him a name in three titles.

I was going to say there wasn't a space in it, but then I saw the only official use of the name when he appeared in one of the Tony Hawk games had a space. To my knowledge, his most official names are "our hero" (from Doom 2's cast list) and just "Doom" (from Quake 3), but leaving it as it is now will probably cause the least confusion.
^This. Also, the protagonist is called Doom Guy, not Doom Mariner.
I feel like the first game's boxart would make a better thumbnail for this section. Maybe that's just me though.
