This reminds me of Bonzi Buddy

I absolutely love this

@THiN CRUST Dude, I'm a longtime Mariowiki browser and have been an editor for over a year, I know exactly what I'm talking about. He had a tie in the game.

I have given proof and showed extremely detailed knowledge (who else could cite a 1994 Japanese guidebook off the top of their head?), and you disregard what I say and project about that very vice while using an absurdly blurry screenshot as your proof, which doesn't even match up with the actual game and as such is probably a pre-release screenshot, which would be irrelevant, as characters go through design changes all the time. Besides, in Miyamoto's sketch that RareWare would later develop into the DKC DK, he was wearing a tie.
Anyways, the whole shenanigans regarding the DK in DKC being the original Donkey Kong's grandson only came about because Nintendo didn't liek the planned redesign for Donkey Kong Jr., so they changed the design's species and made it a new character, Diddy Kong, and made the proposed "Grandpa Kong" (then a white-furred DK) into the grumpy old original DK he was in the final.
Anyways, we shouldn't clog comments sections with arguments. Just stop accusing me of things based off of nothing at all, and complaining that the sprites don't fit with a flawed definition, OK?

@Doc von Schmeltwick I thought that picture I showed would've been enough, but I can't believe you ever disregarded it.

@THiN CRUST Lady and Pauline are the same, the only source to separate them is a 1994 Japanese guide, which also separates the arcade and SMAS Sidesteppers and Fighter Flies, among other things. How else would the character on the Saturday Supercade be called Pauline?
The 1994 GB DK is the same as the arcade DK. Same Mario, same Pauline, same DK Jr. And before anyone says "Nuh-uh Jumpman," the name "Jumpman" was only on directions intended only for the arcade owners to see, and by the time actual flyers came out, he was called Mario.

@Doc von Schmeltwick I'm saying this, because Lady and Pauline aren't the same, and the Game Boy game came out a few months prior to Donkey Kong Country. If he WAS going to be the original Donkey Kong, the sprites would've been different: https://www.mariowiki.com/images/9/93/Dankey_Kang_94_preview_2.PNG

@THiN CRUST No, it's the Game Boy Donkey Kong game's Donkey Kong....who was still the original Donkey Kong.

@toniczehedgefox actually, that's still the Modern Donkey Kong, as he's wearing that signature red necktie.

How long do you make this

Cranky enters the fountain of youth.

Not all of DK's sprites. He still needs the graphics of for the intro, swimming, crawling, swinging, and his end credits banter with his little buddy

i wonder if a rom hack could be made from these. Is this all the sprites used ingame?

I just saw his video.
and can he do DK jr?
and can he do DK jr?

I didn't pester.. I only asked once---
...But Okay. :/
...But Okay. :/

Don't pester him over the Donkey Kong Jr. sprites. If he wants to release it, he'll release it. Checking how many pending sheets there are (which are 0, by the way), IDK if he will. I'm not confirming it, because he may, but still.
Back on topic: These are really awesome. I can't wait to see the light of day where somebody learns how to hack the character sprites in Donkey Kong Country and replace them with these.

Well I guess we can agree this is the best thing ever now

Please post Donkey Kong Jr.'s Classic Style as well! ^w^

Yes.
Thank you.
