So unexpected and yet so awesome! Would love to see more Beano customs in the future, like Minnie the Minx or, god help us, Biffo...

Awesome! Dennis getting ready to menace all of the Johto region. :)
Going to make a shameless advertisement for the Universal Pokémon Randomizer FVX here. In case anyone wants to play Gold/Silver/Crystal using these sprites, it has a "Custom Player Graphics" feature that should be a bit simpler than opening up the games' disassemblies.
Though it currently requires some reformatting, splitting up the sheet into multiple image files... I'm currently on a break from Randomizer development, but if more people than @MollyChan use this exact same sheet format, I should let it take the whole sheet as input once I get back.
ninja-edit: it should probably be noted that the fishing sprites are technically invalid. Only the bottom halves of the fishing sprites are unique to them, the top half reuses the standing-still sprite of the appropriate direction (explained with pictures here). You could of course change the assembly to have both halves be replaced, but that's a more complicated sprite insertion.

Gonna guess my own customs were an inspiration here, considering the sheet's formatted almost exactly like one of mine, hahaha!

Now that's an unexpected custom if I ever saw one! Great job.

His rival would be no doubt the American Dennis.
