Is that stray line on the wing closer to the camera on the second and penultimate frames there in the game? I'm assuming it is...
I always thought it was cool how you started at Bowser's castle and ended at Mario's castle. The final boss music was the sub-boss theme from Final Fantasy 7, which I always thought was an odd choice.

Yes, despite being possibly the best flash fan game of all time, no sprites are original in it (not sure about the orb of power). They either came from other games, from sheets on here, or in some cases like the bullies, from MFGG.
Speaking of that: I most likely won't be ripping Super Mario 63, because most of the sprites are already ripped from other games.
And I think it's more relevant than Koopa's revenge which has been out for around 10 years.
