@JudgeDreddpool "Hallo, ich bin gekommen, um die Waschmaschine zu reparieren."

this sheet is in matt mcmuscles' HKM video, therefore it is now flawless and i can't change it

Here, we see Franz showing off his famed "Vulcan Testicle Pinch".
@smedis2 Yes, but leave this one as Franz so the Ashens references makes sense.
@Wiw Probably a technical limitation.

Whose idea was it to restrict the sprites for each character to a single screen each?

It's not that big, let alone 'monstrous', but feel free to contribute

I've been debating internally if I should split these into separate sheets instead of having this huge monster of a sheet. Should I?

Helga be THICC

NGL, but Stuart Ashens was right about Hans looking like an actor from a cheesy European 70s adult movie.

Franz looks like Eagle fron Street Fighter.

It's tricky whether it can do better on a stock Atari ST (obviously the Amiga and STE/Falcon/Mega TT can). The files are already compressed to save space and is within the restrictions of the mode (Low res, 16 colours), it could run higher but will end up looking more like the Amstrad version in 4 colours. There's not really that many fighting games on the computer; only Street Fighter II, International Karate and IK+ in terms of alternatives, the former takes it toll (if it's stock then it's really pushing the machine) while the latter has smaller sprites, are more suitable and happen to be better games on the computer.
