@EXEcutor-The-Bat Technically perhaps but that's how it got released. The programmer was rushed to do the game like ET was and it shows, it was his first game too that he didn't want to do, rather wanted to do Defender. The Atari 2600 might seem simple but really it wasn't especially for the programmers back then. Plus quite a fair few Atari games could be classed as prototypes due to their work ethic throughout its companies life and then some (including Infogrames Atari era such as Driv3r).

Should this count as a prototype? I mean, the version that was released was stated to be unfinished. The company just wanted the port out ASAP, and didn't care about quality. I hope the genius who thought that is LONG dead.
