I always found it odd how Ryu looks like he's smiling in his CE/HF portrait, and grew facial hair(?).

Gief's tank is a remnant of his concept art, and actually worked out in the end, since it made it so his versus portrait could properly reflect his palette changes in Super. Plus if it bothers you that much you can just pretend he rips it off Hogan style before the match.
@Molly None of them are exactly the same.

Just wait until Capcom makes an alternate costume for Balrog that is of the "World Warrior" design of him

I just noticed that only the "normal" portraits were updated, all the "defeated" ones are just the same as original sf2, outside of palette changes

I think this submitter used the World Warrior as the base for this sheet because in SF2'CE, bosses are already playable from the start any way. Just saying, for the part of "Only Playable In hte Boss Hack Version" probably should be removed in this case.

@Shadowman44 Yeah, that was odd. Also the fact how Balrog doesn't have his gloves on and looks blatantly more like Mike Tyson here than the rest of the series.
But on the plus side, everyone but Ken's portraits became on-model.

Never liked how Zangief's portrait showed him in a tank top when he never actually wears one in-game.
