Thank you for doing more work on this, Mr. Bruh!!

Yeah and considering how well Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT: Shredder's Revenge have turned out, it's the right time for another go. It just depends who Disney gives the license to (not sure if EA's deal is still there from the mobile games, they were the last two games that I can think of and that's quite a long time ago now).
Failing that at least re-release (or re-re-release in one case) the good Simpsons games (Arcade, Hit & Run, The Simpsons Game, possibly even Road Rage). Problem is that they all had different publishers e.g. Konami, Activision, EA...

Honestly, the Simpsons need another beat-'em-up so bad

I have just played this game in an arcade today

Just like the TMNT Arcade, this game made a giant impact on the gaming industries during the both 80s and 90s. Wish it was never removed from the Xbox Live Arcade or the PSN (used to be on there.)

@Yoni Arousement This is amazing! Have you done any ripping, or did you just create the tool? Either way, holy crap.

Oh! I forgot to tell you guys, that I have several screen caps of some enemies and bosses, with the aid of external cheats that turn background elements into one color:

On a trivial note, I plan to update Streets of Rage 2: Simpsons Edition in the future to use those sprite rips. Perhaps I'd like to commission someone to illustrate some custom sprites, and I would gladly pay them.

For what I remember, most Konami arcades games up until the 3D based hardware uses the same tile layout very similar to that of NEC's Turbografx-16 tile layout. (1 row and 2 columns of 16x16 tiles) I have some things that could make it easier for ripping arcade sprites, like getting rid of the lines that surrounds the tiles.

Yeah, hopefully one day. This game was not fun to rip from, based on what I remember.

@OmegaMrKrab444 Ripping arcade sprites can be tedious especially with the built-in tile viewers. MAME can be the worse with this as there's no way of changing the background colour (A lot of palettes have black for the background colour, which annoys any sprite ripper) and WinKawaks sadly lacks any support for Konami games which would make ripping easier.
Although one option for sprite ripping (Especially if the tile viewer doesn't work for certain games in MAME) is to have debug on.
There's cheat files available that turn debug on which makes ripping arcade sprites much easier.

No one ripped the sprites for the enemies, bosses, intro, and many cutscenes.

Actually, they all appear in the intro to the first stage in all regional variants.

That game icon looks like it was doctored, I don't think that many characters appear on the screen at once.

To anyone who would like to try and rip more sprites from this game, try using this set of MAME cheats:

any of the Japanese exclusive sprites ripped?

Hmm, I might want to return to this at some point and rip enemies. They're really great sprites.

Isn't it ironic that there's a Japanese stage in The Simpsons arcade game, even though that it was developed by Japanese company itself?

I have to use screenshots to rip character sprites from this game. When I made SOR2: Simpsons Edition, I had some of Smithers' and Mr. Burns' 1st phase sprites ripped.

It's very time consuming when it comes to ripping arcade game sprites.
Especially when ripping from MAME's tile viewer.

That's because there's no way to easily rip from this game. Everything was done through screenshots.
