Incomplete? How come? i used Ermaccer's tool to extract the sprites from it and it has literally all sprites that appear in the game, and even some that don't, like Johnny's unedited sprites with the logo intact, and only when making a sheet for some i realized that all characters (except for Shao Kahn and Kintaro, obviously) have unique animations for getting up after a sweep, i even had to check that in the game to make sure because MK2 is the one i play the least, and yes, not only are they not used, but sprites for that don't even exist in the final game, seeing how the TCRF page about the game doesn't mention them, and neither does the page about its source code. That guy saying that it's incomplete is just a misinformed myth. UMK3 source is where is gets tricky, it was allegedly released by someone in late 2023, but is most likely lost media as you can't just download it with a simple Google search like you can with MK2's source code.

@Davedson There's a bit more to it than that. It's important to see how exactly the animations link together and where the effect parts are supposed to be placed in-game as intended by the developers. That's what i was going for with my Kintaro sheet (though it's still not perfect) I think i'll just go ahead and upload Kahn's sheet instead of obsessing over perfectionism.
As far as the source code goes, congratulations on obtaining it. I missed it when it was leaked, and DMCA smacked it down almost immediately. The one on Internet Archive is incomplete last i checked. Only way to get it now is through a connection, which i don't have. So again, kudos.

Hello folks

Kinda strange how still no one made sprite sheets of all character animations considering how trivial it is now that we have a source code and can extract all sprites from it without having to manually rip them from the game. I literally never before had to do anything with sprite sheets, although Sprite Sheeter is pretty easy to use, ngl. I'm going to make all character sprite sheets, although if someone wants to beat me to it then be my guest.

i have a question, how do you rip these?

Another great contribution of resources. Thank you @Mica.

please help this part

I couldn't find the UMK3 code but the sprites were dumped as well, but TCRF has some sprites that weren't in the dump like Kung Lao's MK3 bio sprite. Speaking of MK3 the arcade source code is supposed to be in an MK3 source code collection that's been on Internet Archive since 2018. I'd be curious to know if there's anything about the human ninjas in that.
