These characters look familiar

@Yawackhary Reminds me of Super Fighter. A Taiwanese bootleg of Street Fighter for MS DOS and later Windows via a MUGEN port. The only official English release it ever got before becoming freeware was in Australia, shockingly enough. Oh, and the main villain is Blanka as a blatantly racist caricature of a Native American.
The English bersion was called Fatal Encounter. Not only did it rip off Street Fighter (With characters being similar) they literally stole the sound effects as well!

@Papco Got away with it. The developer involved was Korean and relations between South Korea and Japan were negative due to the events of World War II (before the 2000s, Korean companies such as Samsung and Hyundai released Sega and Nintendo consoles due to a ban on Japanese goods).... Then again Unico just made clones of games even after this came out such as Fancy World for Tumble Pop and Zero Point for the Point Blank series. Data East didn't prosecute and Zero Point changed enough meaning that Namco couldn't as it would be considered its own game.

The game was remade on the PS1 as Master's Fighter but changes some of the characters, it was also a Japanese co-production. Mr. Death, Sakamoto and Kang were kept, with the latter having a palette change. Most changed their names but kept their designs, Tung did change slightly to Camp though. Don't know what happened to Sakato...

Does anyone know if this game's producer received threats of prosecution because of these characters?
