@zyndrolith Didn't think the Magical Drop series are obscure. Sure by puzzle standards it's not like Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Candy Crush, Puzzle Bobble, Bejeweled, Picross, Minesweeper, Puzz Loop/Zuma or even Columns but it's not like it's a series that not many have played. It has its fans, it has characters that people like and think 2 and 3 in the series is considered the peak (it's one of the games that kept the struggling Data East going for a while). A bit more known than Baku Baku Animal, Puchi-Carat and Money Idol Exchanger in terms of the competitive puzzlers, those have fans too. Would say the likes of Plotting, Puzznic, Hexion, or maybe Quarth are more obscure in the puzzle front, not counting all those C64/Spectrum/early PC puzzlers.

Besides sometimes it's the obscure games that get fully ripped. Whether because of the art style, can be done without much trouble or because the ripper liked the game.
