I wonder why Ragey didnt put the gun balls (or whatever ammo these guys were using) into this, so is the bag when you collect something and etc.

The Genesis version was a cutdown port of the game missing stages, features and graphical effects as well as a bad translation and depending on version, censorship. The graphics were redrawn looking "flatter". Even the music has a bug losing the instruments on the Bonanza Brothers Duty song over time. Sega outsourced this one to ITL who usually do Taito ports that are cut down with missing stages/characters/features. Sadly it is also the most well known version...
Outside of the arcade original, the Sharp X68000 and PC Engine versions are pretty good with the former looking pretty close to the arcade. The PS2 version in Sega Classics Collection is also a good version.
