@liminalnothing i'm already doing that, should be in the TurboGrafx section under Fighting Street. also doing some character rips, but manually assembling tiles is hellish. feel free to continue your own attempt at ripping it because the more the merrier, right?

Id like to see if the turbo grafx cd version's sprites are going to be ripped and put on here. Ive been trying to do it myself, but it has been a nightmare

@shadowman44 I wondered about that... The game runs on Mode 1 (4 colors; red, blue, orange and black) and removing the black background affects the sprites. This is how the graphics viewer displays them and there are no shadow sprites (what you normally get from the Spectrum, where a sprite is split into two layers).
While working on a sprite rip of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, discovered why. The sprites are based around the collision detection, if they aren't there the block doesn't get draw. It's the game that does this but would require some hacking removing the background with a color that isn't used (doable for Ryu outside of the bonus stage but the others use all 4 colors...). This is an example from Indy: https://pasteboard.co/gYofR1oeZ1p2.png

Why do the sprites have black backgrounds here when in game they have outlines?

That's U.S. Gold for ya!

Lemme guess: The devs were too lazy to put Ryu and Ken's special moves in the game.
