@Depressed Mario Having two games on the same platform were fairly common back then. Sometimes it was the case of having different publishers, sometimes at least for the C64 it was the PAL/NTSC thing with the publisher either in the US or the UK wanted their own "better" version, sometimes on the CPC it was the case of format. Like with Double Dragon 1/2, the tape version was developed in Spain while the disk version was made by Richard Aplin, both completely different ports despite both published by Virgin Mastertronic. Sometimes it is just development problems.

Elite were working on this version, based on the Spectrum version but using more features of the computer. Something must have happened along the way as it was considered a "mess" and was cancelled however this prototype was later found and leaked by the scene. According to the notes, there was a bug of having sprite corruption. A different programmer then decided to rework the game from scratch, having better larger graphics and was the version that was released 6 months after the other computer versions. The only downside to that version was that due to how technically impressive it was, there was no room left for the sound while this had sound.

If this technically was released in Spain only, shouldn't this not have the prototype tag?
