This may have been the case in the original, but for this port, I think the devs got lazy and only ported over two sprites. This applies to other animations as well, such as talking and blinking.
Wasn't there supposed to be a third monochrome sprite? And isn't his roaring animation supposed to have his head facing his right as well?
